Kinda generic but not bad. Just okay. The service is decent and the chips and salsa taste pretty good + they're free with meal.

The best Mexican restaurant in town! I have gone here my entire life and the food is always as fresh as can be! The waiters and waitresses are always wonderful too!

We use to go to this place when my husband and i were dating 28 years ago and it was GREAT but this time it was less than good we got the chicken nachos and the cheese was all on the bottom chips were stale we got chicken tacos and they were so bland they werent worth eating. Very disappointing! I believe next time we'll go to plaxa azteca Mexico has really gone down hill. Maybe owners have changed or somethimg but wont ever recommend them again

My usual Mexican restaurant was jammed, so decided to try a new one. Original Mexican Restaurant delivered! What I would expect from a traditional Mexican (American) restaurant. Extensive menu, good prices, attentive service. Will definitely be back.

Great little place. It's been there for quite a while. They recently updated their decor. I usually pick up and it's ready in fifteen minutes or less.

Just ok. The language barrier is very strong. Food was so-so.

I ate lunch here on a Thursday. The food was good, plentiful, and affordable. The service was great. It was quiet enough that you could have a conversation. The atmosphere was okay. I ordered a chicken burrito off the lunch menu and enjoyed it.

Always fast and courteous service, the food is good and worth a visit. Often frequented by business folks from the area it can be busy at lunchtime but I don't think I've ever had to wait for a table as they have great capacity and are pretty quick on the food turn-around even during busy times. Any of the lunch specials is affordably priced and worth ordering and the other non-specials are very good as well. There is extra parking in the rear if the front lot is crowded.

My wife and I just had dinner here for the first time and it was excellent! Lately we have been very underwhelmed by the Mexican restaurants in the short pump area and we decided to try something new. Original Mexican Restaurant delivers great food quickly, and provides excellent service. We will be back!

Generous portions of well seasoned food. Delicious dessert. Football and soccer on TV when I visited. Great waiter.

Chicken soft tacos are good. Overall, ingredients don't appear fresh. Lettuce looks like it comes from a bag. Steak tasted unseasoned. Service was fast and friendly.

Really great food. Love the atmosphere. Margaritas are really good, really cheap. The more Margaritas you ask for the stronger they get. Never left this place without being miserably full and happy happy happy

Guys look. This is the original. THE original MEXICAN restaurant. Don't be fooled by the impersonators. This is THE real deal. I eat here more than anywhere else. If I get divorced it's because my wife hates how much I want to come here.

What a great restaurant!! Our food came out piping hot, very good, and promptly! It is clean and comfy with a laid back atmosphere. The menu has many many dishes to choose from as well as plenty of drinks, non- alcoholic and alcoholic. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go again!

I was going expecting mediocre food but I wasn’t expecting something so terrible I couldn’t eat it. No flavor, no love, the waiter was harassed and unpleasant, although he was somewhat apologetic when my plate was barely touched. I showed him the enchilada which was soggy, falling apart. The chicken was flavorless. The presentation was horrible grey beans sallow rice, two sad doughy enchiladas. He didn’t charge me for it at least.The chips and salsa were pretty good however. I will never set foot there again. Cmon man, your a disgrace to Mexico.

The service, food, and cleanliness was excellent. This restaurant has become my first choice for Mexican food. While we have a different Mexican restaurant a mile from our home we will now drive 18 minutes to eat fresh homemade food. Thank you "The Original Mexican Restaurant."

Let me start by saying that I love Mexican food. Let me also add that I find most Mexican restaurants (on the east coast) to be pretty indistinguishable. Original Mexico had pretty much the same menu you'll find at any other Mexican restaurant. But you know those times you go to a Mexican restaurant and it just isn't that good... Like the salsa is lacking in flavor or the rice is undercooked or it just wasn't all that good?... You'll never have that experience here. The salsa is excellent and everything I've had had been enjoyable. Margaritas are cheap and service is wonderful... And did I mention the salsa?

What can I tell you. I've been 4 times and had something different each time. The food is exceptionally great!!! The people are very nice and the service is above average. The food is so good that is they served me calling me names of so be going back. The carnitas is some of the best I've ever had. And the tall beers are huge!
